Incorporating ‘The Hanging Gardens of Coventry’

Open up a vista from Broadgate through to the Cathedral Quarter, developing a ‘stunning’ garden linkage incorporating the existing Broadgate Square and the way through to the Old Cathedral Ruins (making a tangible visual linking of the ancient and modern hearts of the city).

Develop a high-impact and extensive central water feature to frame a reflection of the Ruins and cityscape in the water.

Incorporate themed areas in the garden reflecting Coventry’s links with its twinned cities.

Develop high quality office accommodation to line the southern boundary of the route from Broadgate to the Cathedral Quarter.

The gardens would create a modern take on the lost Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Elements of this project may be in development/discussion phase within Coventry City Council.
